Current List of Accepted Contributions.
1. Open Source CFD International Conference 2011 The conference will commence on Thursday 3rd November 2011, at 11:00am with the registration desks opening at 10:00am. The conference will close on Friday 4th November 2011, at 16:00pm. Exhibition: Open from 10:00 – 18:00 on day one and 08:30 – 16:00 on day two. Conference dinner will take place on Thursday 3rd November.
2. Training Courses
Training courses will be carried-out by ICON. All trainings take place from 9:00 till 17:00 on the days listed below.
The 2 days preceding and 4 days following the conference have been set aside as follows:
- ICON CFD Seminar Series - POST-PROCESSING WORKSHOP
(1st November 2011 - Net Price: € 250) This 1-day workshop is divided into 2 sessions:
- morning session: CEI Ensight (proprietary)
- afternoon session: Kitware ParaView (open source)
To make the most from the results generated by your CFD tool, post-processing is required that gives you complete insight into your simulation. This workshop gives an introduction to the tools to visualise and analyse your results. More Information / Registration...
- ICON CFD Seminar Series - ICON FOAMpro Service WORKSHOP
(2nd November 2011 - Net Price: € 250) ICON FOAMpro is a customised CFD service package developed using open source solver technology. It's use offers a great potential to minimise costs, optimise the use of hardware and reduce simulation time. During the one day workshop you will be shown the philosophy of ICON FOAMpro, its benefits, and see the complete process in action. Finally, you will be able to try ICON FOAMpro for yourself during the hands-on session and will be given an introduction to performing industrial simulations. More Information / Registration...
- Introductory Programming Training in OpenFOAM® Technology
(7th - 10th November 2011 - Net Price: € 1 550 / € 1 900) This training is an introduction to the OpenFOAM® software structure. Trainees will be able to modify and create solvers or utilitiies and change some basic library components, such as turbulence models or boundary conditions.
